MSEA Committees & Task Forces
committee objectives (BOARD) Budget & Personnel: Reviews monthly budget; considers financial impact of upcoming projects and goals; addresses staff employment and ongoing staff compensation issues (401K, severance, insurance premiums); bargains staff contract. (BOARD) Program & Planning : Helps plan Spring Regionals, Delegate Assembly, member training and workshops; reviews MSEA Governing Documents; brings forth resolutions to the Delegate Assembly. (MEMBER) Judicial Panel : This committee is comprised of five (non-Board) members appointed by the MSEA President with the advice and consent of the Board of Directors to serve a three-year term, running concurrently with the President's term. (MEMBER) Organizing: Committee comprised of MSEA members interested in assisting with organizing campaigns throughout the state. (MEMBER TASK FORCE) MSEA Office Re-Location : Research the possiblity of finding a new location for the MSEA office in an outer tier suburb; may be rented office or purchased building with easy access, ample parking, a room for training members, a conference room for Board and staff meetings and room to grow. MSEA's current lease will expire December 31, 2012. reimbursement Committee members will be reimbursed for mileage and lost wages (from MSEA-related work). Members will also receive a $30 stipend per meeting for serving on an MSEA Member Committee. |
