Health Care Reform A Reality

March 29, 2010 - After months of debate, lobbying, and work; federal health care reform is signed, sealed, and delivered.President Obamasigned the legislation on Tuesday and Congress sent him improvements later in the week. A big thank you goes out to Senators Franken & Klobuchar, along with Representatives Ellison, McCollum, Oberstar, and Walz for their “yes” votes and strong support for health care reform

Thank our Senators and Members of Congress for “Yes” vote on Health Care

Health care supporters are thanking members of Congress for their historic vote for health care reform. The actions to thank Rep. Tim Walz (CD-1) are one example (see photo). Last week in Rochester andMankato supporters packed into Walz’s office to thank him. In Mankato, health care supporters met with Walz’s staff, including his Chief of Staff, Josh Syrjamaki. Event participants went around the room in Thanksgiving Dinner style and told Walz's staff why they were thankful for the Health Care for America Act. Near the end of the meeting, Mr. Syrjamaki was able to get the Congressman on the phone so that supporters could, in unison, shout “Thank You Congressman Walz!”  Please take a minute to call the offices of Senators Franken and Klobuchar and Representatives Ellison, McCollum, Oberstar and Walzand say “thank you for your vote for health care reform!”
