February 13, 2009 - MSEA is concerned about a provision being put forth that would require schools to purchase goods and services from an approved list of vendors that is selected by the Commissioner of Education. The provision would allow for the contracting out of food service, bus drivers and potentially other classifications of workers, putting our member’s jobs in jeopardy.
