Become a UECU member by simply depositing $5 in a share savings account. Membership is guaranteed for as long as an account is maintained, even after resignation or retirement from employment in the education field. *Savings Federally Insured to at least $250,000 by NCUA and backed by the full faith and credit of the United States Government.  Savings insured an additional $250,000 with Excess Share Insurance, for combined coverage of $500,000.

MSEA Bargaining Unit dues:
Any bargaining unit wishing to withhold unit dues must authorize such action by a vote of the membership. Unit leaders must then complete and return a Bargaining Unit Funds Deduction Authorization Form to MSEA by June 1st in order to withhold unit dues through payroll deduction for the upcoming school year.

     1)  MSEA will continue to withhold unit dues each year thereafter.

     2)  The Unit must then establish a unit treasury account at the United Educators Credit Union.

     3)  Unit leadership stipends or wage reimbursements must be run through the MSEA payroll.       

           The stipend amount as well as any applicable taxes will be billed to the unit treasury account.

     4)  To stop withholding local dues, a unit must once again vote and return an amended Unit Funds

           Deduction Authorization Form to MSEA, effective for the coming school year.
