District Employee Since: 1985 - hired as a Temp.; 1987 - hired permanently

Leadership Roles: Chief Steward since 1987, Grievance Steward, Negotiations Team, Delegate to MSEA DA, Past MSEA Director

Goals: My goals are much the same as every director sitting on this board. Communications, financial responsibility, unity not only amongst the Board members, but also with the staff and most importantly with you the members.

Personal Strengths: Leadership, attention to detail, past experience as a MSEA Director and my ongoing commitment to MSEA since 1987.

Comment: Communications, Communications, Communications. Without it we are lost, but in these days of Data Privacy and the threat of lawsuits around every corner, communications has become a very thin line that must be walked and talked with great care and sensitivity to avoid offending and not violating anyone's rights. Everyone wants to know what is going on, (and that is just human nature) but the MSEA Board of Directors are bound to follow the rules of Data Privacy and just plain old common sense. It doesn't make members happy, but you have to realize the fine line the MSEA Board of Directors are required to walk and talk.
